Friend Friday: Gina's 4th of July Bling T-Shirts

It's Friend Friday, and with July 4th just a few days away, I'm soooo excited to share my friend Gina's t-shirts she made with her Silhouette.  Very festive & fun!!

From Gina:

After Christmas, July 4th is one of my favorite holidays.  I love the colors, the fireworks, the cook-outs with friends and family, and the patriotism that is shown.  To celebrate this holiday I decided to pull out my trusty Silhouette and make a couple bling shirts.  The instructions are on the Silhouette website, but I'll give you a short overview.

Only certain Silhouette shapes can be used with the rhinestones.  Pick out several shapes and put them on one page.  Cut out a template using the Silhouette; the template will have holes where you will insert the rhinestones.  Adhere that template to a piece of thick backerboard that comes with the rhinestone kit.

Insert each rhinestone into the holes of the templates.  Yes, it is as slow and mindless as it sounds!  This is a good project to do when watching TV!

Next use the adhesive paper that comes in the kit to pick up the rhinestones in the shape and put on your shirt.  Use a thin cloth to cover and iron on the shirt.

Enjoy your patriotic shirt!
Have a safe and happy 4th!
