You're Worth a Mint - creative gift for teachers

Showing appreciation to our school teachers is important to me.  I was a high school teacher and counselor, and I loved getting notes from my students. It takes one to know one, right?  After giving your heart and your energy to your students, a simple thanks, or a nice card is so meaningful.

I encourage my kids to demonstrate how much they appreciate what their teachers do for them. My boys made this simple "You're Worth a Mint" card and candy jar. This jar makes a great gift for a Meet the Teacher Night, or for Teacher Appreciation Week.

You're Worth A Mint
card and candy jar:

Directions:

My son typed the message "You're worth a mint!"
on the computer,
but handwritten would be great too!

He used red ink and printed it on white card stock.

Punch a hole for the ribbon,
and ink the edges for detail (optional).

We found red and white numbers/letters paper at a
scrapbooking store, and cut it into a circle for the lid.

Tie some cute ribbon around the jar.

Fill the jar with Sweet Stripes mint candy,
and give it to an amazing teacher!

Make a teacher feel special today!
They take care of our sweet, but not always sweet,
kids every day.  Let them know they're worth a mint to us!

card with strawberries post here!

who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau,
sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called "truth."
