Turkey handprint candycorn craft

Gobble gobble...our countdown to Thanksgiving is on and we're having fun with turkey crafts this week.  We started a thankful journal last week that we'll share before our Thanksgiving dinner. Click here for our turkey cookies - yummy! Today my kids made these handprint turkey treats for their teachers:

Trace, cut, and color the handprint turkeys:
We used orange pipe cleaners for the gobbler and the feet.
And some googly eyes, of course.
I found these cute tubes at my local scrapbooking store.
We filled them with candy corn, then glued the handprint turkeys to the top of the tube.
We also used plastic bags from Target's dollar aisle for some of these cute little turkeys:

"What we're really talking about is a wonderful day set aside the fourth Thursday of November when no one diets.  I mean, why else would they call it Thanksgiving?"
