My obsession with Dr. Seuss goes way back...can't explain it, but I'm an addict. His books are pure fun with a message to go with the silliness. Love it. Used to read his books to my teenage students, then to my own kids. Two of our baby nurseries were Dr. Seuss-themed. Guess who wears a Dr. Seuss sweatshirt, and not just on March 2 to celebrate his books and Read Across America? Guilty. I've had the sweatshirt longer than I've had kids.
But back to Who pudding. Every year we read How the Grinch Stole Christmas, watch the movie, and have a Who feast, complete with roast beast and Who pudding. A few months ago we found the coolest Dr. Seuss website ever: http://www.seussville.com. There are recipes, activities, games, and great printables. Awesome!
We used the website's Who pudding recipe. Two of my kids liked it, the other two chose to just eat the m&m's. Guess who didn't love it:
Who pudding recipe:
One of the best Christmas quotes ever...
appreciate the reminder:
“And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow,
stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so?
It came without ribbons.
It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags.
And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before.
What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store.
What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.”
