After-School Picture Routine Schedule for kids

Life after school can be a whole lot of craziness, so I decided to make an after-school picture routine schedule to help us out...the goal being more fun, less frenzy.

My sons' preschool teachers used schedules with cute cartoon pictures that were attached to velcro boards.  When I taught high school I posted a schedule because I think students respond much better with a visual cue.

Using Publisher, I inserted pictures of my kids going about our after-school routine.  I used pictures so my two youngest kids, who don't read, could participate too.

I laminated them so the kids could check it off as they go.  We hang the clipboards on a hook by our garage door so the kids can grab them when we get back from school pick-up.

Got so excited, that I made four of these routine schedules!  Click below for the other three schedules:

"A schedule defends from chaos and whim.
It is a net for catching days.
It is a scaffolding on which a worker can stand
and labor with both hands at sections of time."

  1. Am I allowed to benefit from your computer skills and make a copy of your schedules?
