New Year goal setting

As part of our New Year festivities, our family wrote/shared Top 10 lists.  Our youngest kiddos drew pictures of their favorite things...and now I have that song stuck in my head (raindrops on roses...)

I'm going to put these in their scrapbooks...a summation of 2011.

It was cool to hear what their favs were...
some serious, some oh-so-not.

We also had fun with our versions of New Year resolutions:  Goal setting and action planning.

I loved hearing the goals...even the "I want to learn to burp as good as my brother."  (sigh)  The life of a boy mom - wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

All of my goals seemed to share a few themes:
keeping a sense of humor...hourly
keeping it simple...simplify everything possible

After I thought about my goals, I turned my attention to writing a brief action to make the goal possible.  Making "I think I can, I think I can" turn into "I can, I can" and "I did, I did".

Goal setting felt good.
Having an action plan...felt great!

"Today was good.

Today was fun.

Tomorrow is another one."
