Countdown to March 2 & Read Across America/Dr. Seuss

We just kicked off our countdown to March 2:  the birthday of one of my sons, and Dr. Seuss.

Each night my husband reads the kids a Dr. Seuss story from books that were his as a cool that my mother-in-law kept them!

Almost antiques...oldies, but goodies:

We'll be doing a Dr. Seuss inspired project each day until March 2.  Some of the stuff we're planning: Cat in the Hat hat cookies, Sneeches friendship activity, truffula popcorn tree snacks, Lorax/Earth Day ideas, Oh, the Places You'll Go hot air balloon craft, and of course our annual green eggs and ham meal.  Can't wait!

“The more that you read, the more things you will know.
The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”
(Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You'll Go)

"A person's a person, no matter how small."
(Dr. Seuss, Horton Hears a Who)
