Less preservatives, cheaper, and oh so much better!
Oat & Rice Krispie Bars
2 1/2 c. rice cereal
2 c. old-fashioned oats
1/4 c. toasted wheat germ
1 c. light corn syrup
1 c. peanut butter (we use creamy)
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Combine cereal, oats, and wheat germ, and set aside. In small saucepan, combine corn syrup, peanut butter, and brown sugar. Cook over medium heat until peanut butter melts. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and pour over dry ingredients. Mix well and press into 9x13 or jelly roll pan. Ready to eat in about 15 minutes, or less, if you live in my house!
