My muscle man gets to take Fridays off from work in June/July, so we kicked off our Summer Fun Fridays with dad today! Whoo hoo! This pic is going into the Summer Vacation Journal (click here for that post).
First on our list: Wonderscope, a Kansas City children's museum located in an old elementary school. Each room has a theme and is so much fun!
My 1st grader can't leave the Lego room. He really can't, as in we sometimes have to scoop him up and transport him to the car. Lego addict.
There are display boxes to leave your labeled creations...museum style. Planning to use this idea at home!
Can't skip the water room...
LOVE it that they get to splash on these floors...
and gives me ideas to recreate at home.
My two oldest guys love the ball room - and I love it that we are throwing a little inertia (yay for science) into our summer:
"It is a happy talent to know how to play"
(Ralph Waldo Emerson)
"Life must be lived as play."
"Play is our brain's favorite way of learning."
